The sun has long since gone down, dark clouds have rolled in.

Our eyes are blurred with fatigue. There are no streetlights.

The formerly clear white lines marking the roadway have long since worn away.

How did we lose sight of the road signs that guided us along our way?

Once we saw clearly but now…now our pathway has turned to nothing but darkness.

Choices…little ones, big ones, some not chosen at all.

They seem to carry with them more doubts than assurances, more fear than joy.

How can we find our way through the many decisions we must navigate?

And when we’ve made a poor choice, can we ever get back on the right road again?

We feel it deep down in our gut.

Where am I? How did I wind up here? Will I ever find my way back home?

As we make our way through the myriads of changing circumstances in our lives, we think, “There never seem to be any ‘good choices’ left.”

Or perhaps now, we must choose between several ‘good choices,’ which may make our lives even more difficult.

Choices no longer feel like opportunities.

Change comes much too rapidly. Opportunity rides on a dangerous wind. Crossroads and intersections appear suddenly on the horizon with no clear signs to tell us which way to go.

Perhaps you’ve made a wrong turn…or two in your life.

You find yourself off course, meandering among the twisted turns.
